Kevin Chang took care of replacing the Clutch in my brother's Jeep Wrangler. My brother was in the hospital at the time his car was being repaired. When the car was ready Kevin picked my brother up and brought him to get his car. My brother was not able to walk well, so Kevin drove him home and had his Jeep delivered to my brother's house. Steven deserves 10 stars, he was absolutely phenomenal to work with. I came in contact with Steven back in January. I was online car shopping when I came across a 2022 Jeep Wrangler in Tuscadero Pearl (pink). I called and went to my local dealers asking about it and was told it was discontinued and cannot be ordered. After calling almost EVERY dealer on the island, I heard back from Garden City Jeep. Steven informed me he had 2 coming in and I can put a deposit and start the process and should have it within a few a months. I expressed my tight budget I had to work with and he made it extremely doable and completely stress free. He was so great by even sending me pictures and updates about the car. I was able to text him and questions or concerns for months and I would get an instant response. Even on his days off. I finally received my Jeep last Saturday and it’s amazing. Absolutely wonderful service. I have never encountered a Team of people that work so well to make sure the customer is satisfied. You have Aliyah from customer service who was very kind and attentive when helping me to the right departments. She is very knowledgeable as well. Zee from the parts department was also very kind and knowledgeable and was able to explain what I needed so I could understand as I do not know "car lingo". Cindy from customer service was also very helpful get to the right people and departments. And last but definitely not least was Ahmed, the Warranty Administrator, who took the time to delve deep into finding out more information from Chrysler Customer Care to make sure the problem with the vehicle was taken care of. These days it is rare to find such a wonderful group of people who care about you and the hiccups that come with maintaining a vehicle. I truly wish everyone was as warm and inviting as they are. I bought a 2021 grand Cherokee L from this dealership. The sales department was okay which should've been the first red flag. I just didn't expect the service department to be worse. My car is 3 months old with some power steering. The power steering light popped up randomly while driving 50mph on the highway. The steering became very difficult to maneuver while making any turns. The light turned came off about 8-10 hours after I turned off the vehicle and turned it back on. After about a week, the problem became consistent. I would have to randomly turn the car on and off at stop lights hoping that the system would reset. After trying and failed a few times I decided to contact the dealership to have the car looked at. I called on 1/28/2022 and spoke with Alyeah regarding the issue and she confirmed my car with the VIN #. She spoke with a service advisor & loaner coordinator. Around noon, I received a call back from Alyeah to have the car brought back in for service. I asked if I can come on Saturday but there were no loaners available for the weekend. I booked an appointment to have the car brought in on 2/4/2022 before 4pm. Upon arrival around 3:30pm at the dealership, I met with service advisor Kevin. Before he checked the car in, he spoke to ERNESTO whomever he may be. Kevin then tells me that the issue is known with all of their Jeep Grand Cherokee L and there is no resolution at the moment. At this point I'm furious for two reason: wasting my time and I have been taking the train to work for two weeks since the issue became persistent. NOW, this is when it went from bad to worse. This is the "VIP" service I have received. ERNESTO (with an attitude) stating it's a software issue and they don't have a resolution for it. The first thing I said to is there is no need for an attitude. I told ERNESTO that this is about safety. He told me all I need to do is when the light comes on is to pull over, shut the car off, open the door and that should reset the system. (My face had xxx!!! written all over it). I asked why I was even asked to bring the car in if this is a known issue?? He said the people I spoke with over the phone are just cashiers. The way he said that was very demeaning. First off, Alyeah had to spoke to someone to tell me that they might have to replace the steering. Secondly, Kevin my service advisor also mentioned he had ordered replacement of the steering in some of the vehicles but then Chrysler cancelled the orders when they figured out that it was a software issue. I requested to speak to a manager. For whatever the reason there was no service manager in so I spoke to the sales manager Jason. Now the sales manager Jason starting speaking to me based on the information that was given to him by ERNESTO. I had to immediately stop him when he said unfortunately we have to take the loaner back because Chrysler won't pay. I told him I was never in a loaner. I explain everything again. He was very apologetic. I made it very clear to him that I would write a review on every platform possible. He asked that I hold off my reviews until 2/7/2022 because he would like to try and resolve the issue. He said that the manager is less likely to assist if I post the reviews. He said and I quote "I will personally follow up with you on Monday”. Jason the sales manager never called me like he promised. Instead, Ernesto called stating there is nothing they can do but bring the vehicle back in and have it looked at but of course the time has to work for the service department. 2/8/2022, I haven't received a call from anyone so I decided to follow up with them in order for the service department to follow up back with me. It took me a total of 10 times to get someone on the phone (see attached photo). I believe I've done my due diligence in giving the service department a chance to provide a solution to the unsettling experience I've had with this dealership from the sales to service department.
