October 6, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 1,624 minivans, most of which are in dealer hands, to inspect and service, as required, their hood brackets.
 
Bolts used to fasten the brackets may loosen over time, potentially causing the hood to detach, obstructing the driver's view. The defect was discovered during a review of assembly practices.
 
FCA US is unaware of any related injuries, accidents, warranty claims or other complaints.
 
The recall is limited to certain model-year 2016 Dodge Grand Caravans and Chrysler Town & Country minivans assembled during an eight-day period in August 2015. Affected customers will be advised next month when they may schedule service, which will be performed free of charge.
